Support Lucketts Bluegrass

Nearly all of the proceeds from ticket sales go to the band each Saturday night. A dedicated team of volunteers does the work that makes each concert season a success. Volunteers book the bands, staff the kitchen, set up the auditorium, sell the tickets and manage the sound. Nevertheless, it still takes money to put on a show.

Additional support for the performances is managed by the Lucketts Bluegrass Foundation, whose volunteers:

  • Coordinate with Loudoun County and the Department of Parks and Recreation
  • Manage finance, accounting, taxes, and other administrative functions required of non-profit corporations
  • Purchase food and supplies
  • Pay royalties to various Performance Rights Organizations for the use of copyrighted music
  • Purchase and service equipment
  • Record, edit, and catalog performances for WAMU’s Open Mic program

The foundation also supports educational programs and the health and welfare of musicians in times of need.

To ensure the continued success of Lucketts Bluegrass for the years to come, the Lucketts Bluegrass Foundation welcomes support from the bluegrass community.  To learn more, select one of the links below.

I have attended events at Lucketts and enjoyed them. But that was a couple of years ago, and since then I have been trying to get my email address removed from your list–unsuccessfuly, since you have not posted an “unsubscribe” on your communications.

It’s not that I don’t love you or bluegrass any more.
It’s just that I moved–permanently–to a location over 400 miles north of your place, and it is very unlikely that I will ever set foot in Lucketts again.
So please do us both a favor and drop me from your email list.

    Michael Robbins

    1. I’ll take care of removing your name. BTW-each email has an “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the page.

Also, thanks for you support for Lucketts. Hopefully you’ll find another bluegrass venue near your new home.

Is the Michael Cleveland concert still scheduled for this Saturday?

    1. Yes, Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper will be at the community center on January 20. Our apologies for a Facebook snafu that resulted when we updated the band’s photo. The show it NOT cancelled.
