As individual musicians, each member of this trio easily stands on their own but as a group they bring an energy and full-bodied sound to their work. Tom Mindte on mandolin and vocals, Mason Via on guitar and stunning lead vocals, and Ben Somerville on bass and vocals. Tom is a well-known music historian, producer and mandolinist and Mason grew up in Virginia learning his craft from his talented father, David Via. Ben Somerville is a multi-talented, multi-instrumentalist DC-based performer who plays bass for the group. This group brings a fresh new sound to bluegrass and traditional music.
