The Lucketts Bluegrass season opens with a fan favorite, Danny Paisley and The Southern Grass. Four-time IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year, Danny Paisley leads a band with deep roots and respect for bluegrass tradition. The Paisleys (Danny and Ryan) and Lundys (T.J. and Bobby) carry on the hard-driving bluegrass traditions of their families, with help by ace banjo player, Mark Delaney. Danny’s powerful vocals with captivate you, and the energy and musicianship of the entire band will make you smile. At 7 pm, The DC Bluegrass Union will present the Washington Monument Award to Dudley Connell. This award is presented annually to an individual in the DC metropolitan area, recognized for outstanding contributions to bluegrass music both regionally and nationally. The Danny Paisley concert will immediately follow.
